Legecy Website

Did you know the entire legacy 'lancs-fus' website is still online?
It's accessible via this link
Not all of it will work however, and some links and images will not appear (they're online, but the link to them is broken) - this is down to the design of the original site, where some of the links to pages and images are 'relative' (good practice) and some are 'absolute' (bad practice)
Absolute links require the entire link to remain intact in order to work - so for example when you click to enter the legacy website you see a broken page because it looks for the entire string which no longer exists, so returns a broken page.
Relative links are relative to the path you're already on, so navigation will typically work fine even if the root or website url changes - the new website uses all relative links, so even if the base url ever changes we will never get this issue.
If you have a bookmark from the legacy site, you should be able to view that online today by making changes to the url - I can help with that, just post them here and I'll show you how to change them to get them working - it's basically just adding '/legacy/lanc-fus/' to the url.
For the main landing page of the legacy site, you can visit here; https://lancashire-fusiliers.co.uk/lega ... x_Page.htm
A side project of preserving the website is to fix the links on this legacy site, but not essential during migration of the new site.
