Death of Robert Brennon,

Post by Fusilier24005664 »

Hi Guys, not such a cheery post, but nevertheless, we pay our respects to the lads.
I have just been contacted by Bernard Shaw, son-in-law of Robert Brennon, ex-1st Battalion XX Lancashire Fusiliers, who sadly passed away on the 25th of August 2026, aged 90 years :( I am sure you will join me in sending our deepest sympathies and sincere condolences to his dear wife, Marjorie, and daughter, Jenette, and all who knew and loved him.

Sad news indeed; Do we have an image for Robert, I could add to the Obituaries page?

Many thanks Dave, this will be added to the Obituaries page (at the top) in Friday's update.

Still undecided how to present all those names and images behind each yet. I'll look at this over the next few updates.

I'm thinking of removing the images and having the names alphabetical / searchable - then a user can click a name and be shown all the information relating to that person (if any) - but we'll see - I may do some variation of this.
